“queenie the quarter” sealed my fate
When my story about a pocketbook called “Queenie the Quarter” won a 4th grade contest, I was hooked on writing. Today, I am still happiest when discovering the words to create imagined worlds and answer the question, “What does it mean?”
My personal essays and short memoirs have been published in anthologies and literary magazines, and I’m seeking a publisher for my book-length memoir called BRAVADO AND A SKETCHY VISION LED ME HERE. It’s a workplace coming-of-age story that takes place in 1979 and 1980 during my first year of college teaching.
writing has been a constant
From my early career as a college writing instructor, to my years as a marketing communications copywriter, essayist, memoirist and blogger, I have loved the craft of writing.
